COUNSELLING ASSOCIATIONS
BACP
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
aims to provide a safe and accountable counselling and
psychotherapy service for both practitioners and clients.
BAPCA
The British Association for the Person-Centred Approach
promotes and supports the person-centred approach in the UK.
Included on the web site is information on theory and practice,
forthcoming events and the magazine Person-Centred Quarterly.
ADPCA
The Association for the Development of the Person-Centred
Approach is an international network of individuals who support
the development and application of the approach. The association
publishes a newsletter, journal, and membership directory. It
sponsors an annual conference.
IPN
The independent Practitioners network is a national network
which offers an accredited route based on continuing peer
assessment. Practitioners come from a wide variety of
therapeutic and educational backgrounds and can negotiate to
join an existing group or join others to form a new group.

Making the Difference

Provides opportunities for people to experience temporary
person-centred communities. The gatherings can be challenging,
exciting and deeply moving.
Sussex Person-Centred Community
Based in Brighton. Monthly community type meetings on a
Saturday morning, holds workshops and produces a regular news
