About Counselling

First Session 

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, you are most welcome to ask questions. Your counsellor will describe confidentiality & ask about necessary details such as contact numbers. When ready we can look at the issues that have brought you to counselling.

It is our experience that as you talk to your counsellor, a caring and trusting relationship develops and this enables you to explore your issues in depth.

Confidentiality

We would like  you to feel able to share & discuss anything of importance to you with your counsellor. We find that  explaining confidentiality and having an open & genuine attitude is conducive to this.

Paula & Lester both work according to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. This includes providing a confidential service for clients. If you would like to see the document in full, please click here.
